Fiserv Inc. has priced $1.75 billion of bonds to finance a portion of its deal to buy the online bill payment services provider CheckFree Corp.
Fiserv, of Brookfield, Wis., said this month that it would offer $1.25 billion of 6.125% senior notes that mature in 2012, and $500 million of 6.8% senior notes that mature in 2017.
Fiserv said it may use a portion of the proceeds to repay a portion of the debt under its revolving credit facility.
Fiserv announced the $4.4 billion deal CheckFree, of Atlanta, in August. It is expected to close by yearend.
