Fiserv (FISV) said Thursday it has teamed with ChannelNet, a maker of private-label web portals, to give financial institutions the ability to set up online sites for administering loans.
The partnership connects the fintech company's servicing platform with LoanLink, an online channel offered by ChannelNet. The combination can speed the ability of banks, credit unions and servicers to create websites where borrowers can repay mortgages, installment loans and revolving credit accounts using a single log-in page, according to the companies.
The service, which pulls information directly from Fiserv's LoanServ system, also lets consumers view transaction histories and update their personal and financial information. Institutions can match LoanLink to their branding and configure the service to their technology needs.
Kevin Collins, Fiserv's president of Lending Solutions, said in a press release that LoanLink can ease interactions between lenders and borrowers and cut down on calls to customer service. "This ability leads to greater efficiency and cost savings for the financial institution and a superior customer experience for the borrower," Collins added.
The service includes hosting, maintenance and support that reduces the need for lenders to deploy designers or information technology personnel.
