FLEET FINANCIAL Group Inc., Providence, R.I., has named R. Harold Owens to the additional post of president of its Fleet Finance unit in Atlanta. He will continue as chief operating officer of the unit.
He succeeds John R. Strickland, who continues as chief executive officer of the unit. Mr. Strickland is on a medical leave of absence, a company spokes-woman said.
