Florida Stadium Makes Deal with EverBank

EverBank Financial Corp. in Jacksonville, Fla., has struck a deal to rename the local football stadium EverBank Field.

The $11.2 billion-asset company said the five-year contract for naming rights to the former Jacksonville Municipal Stadium also makes EverBank the official bank of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"It allows us to build significant brand awareness and business relationships through the Jaguars' and the NFL's national fan base," Robert Clements, EverBank's chairman and chief executive, said in a press release Tuesday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The wireless communications company Alltel Corp. previously held the naming rights for the stadium, but that agreement expired in 2007.
