Foreign Banks Boost Pay in U.S.

Foreign banks in the United States boosted senior managers' salaries by 13% on average in 1990, according to a survey by KPMG Peat Marwick.

And foreign banks are increasingly tying pay to individual performance. That's in line with compensation trends at domestic banks.

Peat Marwick polled 96 foreign banks in New York, Chicago, Houston, and Los Angeles for its sixth annual foreign banking salary survey.
