Brian J. Schwartz, formerly of MasterCard International, has joined KPMG LLP's financial services consulting practice.

Mr. Schwartz developed MasterCard's subprime consumer marketing strategy and more recently established MasterCard loyalty consulting services, which focuses on premium card products.

As a vice president and general manager at MasterCard, Mr. Schwartz also played a major role in establishing MasterCard Rewards Services, which offers advice about cobranded card programs.

After five years with MasterCard, Mr. Schwartz will focus on the consumer card industry as a KPMG senior manager.
