Fort Wayne Names Executive

Fort Wayne National Corp. in Indiana has elected Thomas E. Elyea, president and chief administrative officer of its Fort Wayne National Bank, as a director.

He has held the bank posts since January, when he succeeded M. James Johnston, chairman and CEO of the $3.3 billion-asset holding company.

Mr. Elyea joined the bank as senior vice president of corporate correspondent banking in 1995. He had been president and chief executive officer of Firstar Bank in Park Forest, Ill., a unit of Firstar Corp.
