Fundtech: Payments Platform works with Oracle Databases

Fundtech announced Tuesday that its payments platform is compatible with two Oracle (ORCL) database products.

The Jersey City, N.J. bank technology company said its Global PAYplus – Services Platform has achieved Oracle Exadata Optimized and Oracle Exalogic Optimized status through Oracle's partner network.

According to Fundtech, the designation demonstrates its payments platform can process transactions when operating in connection with Oracle's Exadata Database Machine and its Exalogic Elastic Cloud.

In a test, Global PAYplus processed 9.3 million mass payments and 5.7 million payments per hour, according to Fundtech.

"The combination of GPP-SP and Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud is the high-performance, scalable and cost effective solution for converged mass and single payment processing for leading global and domestic banks," Eli Biton, Fundtech's executive vice president for global research and development, said in a news release.

"By achieving Oracle Exadata Optimized and Oracle Exalogic Optimized status, Fundtech has demonstrated its Global PAYplus – Services Platform is tested and tuned to work with Oracle Exadata Database Machine and Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud to help deliver optimum performance, scalability, and reliability to their customers," Chris Baker, senior vice president at Oracle, added in a news release.
