Generation Mortgage in Atlanta Names CEO

Generation Mortgage, a reverse-mortgage lender in Atlanta, has promoted Colin Cushman to fill its recent vacancy at the top.

Cushman has been named president and chief executive, Generation said Tuesday. He had joined the company as chief risk and strategy officer in July from the Federal Housing Administration.

He replaces Jeff Lewis, who resigned as head of the company at the end of January, a Generation spokesman said. No further details on Lewis' departure were provided.

Cushman spent over five years as director of portfolio analysis for the FHA, managing the credit risk for the agency's Home Equity Conversion Mortgage program.

Generation has also hired Cheryl MacNally as chief sales officer. She joined the company at the end of January. She had been national sales manager for reverse mortgages at Wells Fargo (WFC), according to a news release.

Generation announced Monday that it has updated its mortgage-origination platform.
