George Mason Bankshares, Fairfax, Va., has named former U.S. Rep. Williamson "Bill" S. Stuckey Jr. as a director.

Mr. Stuckey is chairman of Stuckey's Corp., which includes Stuckey's Timberland Inc.-33,000 acres of timberland property in Georgia-and a franchise of restaurants and related facilities on major interstate highways. From 1966 to 1976 he represented the Eighth District of Georgia in the House of Representatives.

George Mason has $884.7 million of assets.
