Hanmi Financial in Calif. Redesigns Bank Logo

Hanmi Financial in Los Angeles has a new look for its retail bank.

The $4.1 billion-asset company unveiled its new logo on Monday at the bank's first location, on Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles. Hanmi has displayed temporary signage at all its branches with the new logo, with permanent signage coming in July. Hanmi has also developed a marketing campaign to accompany the logo.

Hanmi did not disclose how much it spent on designing the logo and for associated marketing programs. The company could not be reached for comment.

Hanmi's new logo was designed to reflect the company's Korean-American heritage and to carry a wider appeal, Chief Executive C. G. Kum said in a news release.

The logo "reflects our strong commitment to continue to serve the Korean American community, while expanding our reach to include more ethnically diverse customers throughout the U.S.," Kum said.
