Harris Bankcorp Elevates Delaney

Philip A. Delaney has been elected vice chairman of Harris Trust and Savings Bank and its holding company, Harris Bankcorp, Chicago, a subsidiary of the Bank of Montreal.

Donald S. Hunt, executive of the personal financial services department, will succeed Mr. Delaney as president of the Harris entities.

B. Kenneth West continues as chairman and chief executive officer of the holding company and bank.

Mr. Delaney joined Harris in 1952. He was elected executive vice president and chief credit officer in 1980, with responsibility for all loan review and credit administration activities. He became president in January 1984.

Mr. Hunt, who joined the bank in 1964, is senior manager of Harris' 12 affiliated suburban banks and for Harris Trust Co. of Arizona. He became an executive vice president in 1986.
