The Edinburgh financial company HBOS PLC has agreed to use antifraud software from SAS Institute Inc. of Cary, N.C.
SAS announced Friday that HBOS has signed a seven-year deal to use the SAS Fraud Management software, to monitor all card transactions.
HBOS' insurance unit already uses SAS security software, and Ian Fielder, the banking company's head of risk operations, said in a press release that it chose the fraud software for its card operations because of "its potential to provide a single platform that can be extended throughout the enterprise."
