HSBC Hires Four Executives in Global Equities

The London-based banking company said Thursday that it hired Craig McDonough to be a senior vice president of international sales trading. He was a pan-European sales trader at Kelper Equities, covering U.S. institutional accounts. Previously, he was a sales trader at Commerzbank Securities, UBS Warburg, and Dreyfus Corp.

Amy Giambruno was hired to be a senior vice president of international sales trading. She has done Latin American equity sales trading at LPL Financial, UBS Warburg, and Barings Securities.

Alexander Huff has joined the U.S. equities team as a senior vice president and Asian equities trader. He has experience in the field most recently at JPMorgan Securities, where he was an Asian-Japanese equities trader. Previously, he worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Jamal Pesaran was added as a vice president of Asian equity derivatives sales. He joined HSBC from Lehman Brothers, where he was in equity derivatives sales.

HSBC has more than 125 million customers worldwide and 10,000 offices in 82 countries in Europe, the Asia-Pacific region, the Americas, the Middle East, and Africa. It had $2.15 trillion of assets at June 30.
