Huntington Bancorp (HBAN) in Columbus, Ohio, has appointed a new leader of its market in southern Ohio and Kentucky.

Kevin Jones will be interim regional president for the greater Cincinnati region, leading commercial banking and business development among all Huntington’s operations there, the $56 billion-asset company announced Tuesday. He succeeds Mark Reitzes, who left the company.

Jones joined Huntington as a business development director this year. Previously, he was director of U.S. financial institutions for Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB).

Jones “is a longtime resident of greater Cincinnati, who knows the needs of businesses in southern Ohio,” said Jim Dunlap, Huntington’s regional and commercial banking director, in the news release. “He has deep ties with businesses and community groups and is strongly committed to the area.”
