Huntington offering variable-rate cards.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Huntington National Bank announced a variable interest rate for MasterCard and Visa cards available in Ohio and Kentucky.

The rate, now 14.4%, will be reset on the 15th of each month at 7.9 percentage points above the prime rate.

The subsidiary of Huntington Bancshares also will waive, upon request, the $18 annual fee for any existing or new credit card customer who maintains any other qualifying loan, deposit, or trust service. New customers who do not have another qualifying Huntington relationship will not be charged the annual fee for one year.
