The Phoenix point of sale terminal company Hypercom Corp. said Wednesday it has promoted Robert M. Vreeland to interim chief financial officer.

Mr. Vreeland has been with Hypercom for 11 years, most recently as vice president for finance and financial planning and analysis in its Americas unit, where he oversaw the global budget and forecasting process. He now reports directly to Philippe Tartavull, Hypercom's president and chief executive.
He succeeded Tom Liguori, who left in February to become the CFO of the electronic component maker Multi-Fineline Electronix Inc.
