IBC Bank Offering an Identity Shield

The IBC Bank unit of International Bancshares Corp. is offering customers an expanded form of identity theft protection, the data vendor CSIdentity Corp. announced Monday.

The $11.2 billion-asset Laredo, Tex., banking company is offering CSIdentity Protector through its branch network and Web site, for $10.95 per month.

In addition to credit monitoring, CSIdentity Protector monitors court and criminal records, public records, and noncredit loans to provide reports, alerts, and continual monitoring of personal data.

Dennis Nixon, the president and chief executive of International Bancshares, said in the vendor's press release: "IBC Bank prides itself on 'doing more' for its customers and the communities it serves. This means going above and beyond what is expected, providing our customers with access to financial services along with the commitment that we are keeping their financial information safe."
