CHARLOTTE, N.C. First Union Corp. has hired White Amber Inc. to manage human resources services for the banking company's freelance workers.
First Union's eVentures Group has also made an equity investment in the Lake Success, N.Y., company.
White Amber is to help First Union manage its policies on procurement, user authority, procedural preferences, supplier preferences and agreements, and historical information.
White Amber's solution will help more effectively manage the costs associated with securing contract resources and labor, said Sharon Smart, senior vice president of human resources, enterprise services at First Union.
