NEW YORK American Express Co. launched a mortgage lending program Thursday through its Membership Banking consumer service.
Consumers using the Mortgages from American Express program can choose from an array of products, including fixed- and adjustable-rate loans. PHH Mortgage Services, a subsidiary of Cendant Corp., one of the nations largest correspondent lenders, is providing financing and processing for Amex.
Amex is offering the program through its membership banking Web site and a toll-free phone line.
