BMO Financial Group's U.S. investment and corporate banking arm, Harris Nesbitt, said Thursday that it has hired a head for its U.S. equity capital markets group.
Carlos Conde, the former head of equity capital markets at SG corporate and investment banking, a unit of the French bank Societe Generale, is to develop Harris Nesbitt's equity capital markets business, particularly with middle-market clients. He had left Societe Generale in June to pursue other interests. Previously, he was a managing director and the co-head of European equity capital markets at J.P. Morgan.
In January Harris Nesbitt hired a Dallas asset-backed securities team, and last month it hired three managing directors, for its sales, trading, and research teams.
