Countrywide Insurance Group and Atlantic Mutual announced a strategic alliance Wednesday that will pair the former's "A" rating and its parent company's strong brand and national presence with the latter's independent agent model to expand the availability of the Atlantic Master Plan for affluent people.
By terms of the alliance, a reinsurance agreement will let Atlantic Mutual's independent agents leverage the A.M. Best "A" rating of the property/casualty division of Countrywide Insurance Group to drive growth in the states where New York-based Atlantic Mutual already operates and to generate new revenue streams for both companies.
In addition, work has begun to extend the partnership to the western states, including Texas, where Calabasas, Calif.-based Countrywide Insurance Group is to leverage Atlantic Mutual's brand to better penetrate the affluent lines marketplace.
Atlantic Master Plan offers coverages for affluent people with homes, automobiles, valuables, watercraft, and personal liability protection needs.
