In Brief: Deutsche Sets Goals for Financial Portal

Dow Jones

FRANKFURT - Deutsche Bank AG said it expects its Moneyshelf.de portal to break even in 2005, executives said Wednesday.

At a press conference to unveil the Web site, Moneyshelf board member Alexander Labak said the goal is to sign 1.2 million customers by 2005. He would not give a target for revenues or earnings.

Moneyshelf is scheduled to go live Friday, and a Spanish version is slated to be launched in January with Spain's La Caixa, Deutsche Bank board member Hermann-Josef Lamberti said at the press conference.

Moneyshelf is open to other partnerships, Mr. Lamberti said.
