In Brief: Dresdner Unit Purchases U.S. Advisory

LONDON and NEW YORK — Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, the investment banking arm of Dresdner Bank AG, said on Thursday that it has purchased D’Accord Financial Services, a U.S. advisory business specializing in structured asset finance in the telecommunications, transport, and energy industries.

Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein was created by the German banking company’s recent acquisition of the New York investment banking boutique Wasserstein Perella.

The purchase price was not disclosed.
