SAN FRANCISCO Avolent Inc., a provider of electronic bill payment and presentment software, last week announced a program to speed up customer adoption of electronic billing.
The Rapid Adoption Program has been in testing since last April by NuVox Communications, a privately held telecommunications company in Chesterfield, Mo., that serves customers in the Midwest and Southeast, Avolent said. The program significantly increased the number of NuVox customers who viewed and paid their bills online, the vendor said; as of January, 24% of the customers had adopted electronic billing, versus 1% to 4% industrywide.
The program has reduced customer service and bill processing and payment costs, and increased customer loyalty and the satisfaction of customer service representatives, Avolent said.
