In Brief: Equifax Chooses Fair, Isaac System

SAN RAPHAEL, Calif. — Equifax Card Services Inc. will use Fair, Isaac & Co.’s Triad technology — a credit card account management tool — for its credit card clients.

Fair, Isaac said the Equifax Inc. subsidiary intends to give credit card issuers a better system for making account management decisions, and will incorporate Fair, Isaac’s Triad control system, which combines automated decision software, predictive models, and consulting.

Equifax is already using the new service with an issuer that has cardholders in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland, according to Fair, Isaac.

“Using Triad, multi-channel card issuers now have the ability to improve account management profitability for their portfolios worldwide, while conveniently processing every account through one system,” said Cheri St. John, general manager of global data repositories and processors for Fair, Isaac.

Fair, Isaac said Citibank has also signed a contract to use Triad for its credit card operations.
