MILWAUKEE - Firstar Corp. has selected RSA Security Inc. of Bedford, Mass., to provide security software for its bill payment and presentment services.
Firstar introduced electronic bill payment and presentment last month in Kansas and Arkansas, and plans to launch it in all of its markets in the next couple of weeks, said Thomas O'Hara, director of electronic commerce. It will use RSA's Crypto-J software to encrypt consumers' data.
Firstar is planning a major marketing push to encourage its 170,000 online banking customers to sign up for online bill payment and presentment, Mr. O'Hara said.
