BROOKFIELD, Wis. Michael D. Gantt has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Fiserv Inc.s insurance solutions group, which offers technology systems and services for the life, health, annuity, property-casualty, and flood segments of the insurance industry.
Mr. Gantt, formerly senior vice president and group manager of the claims and risk management group at Mynd Corp., is to report to Howard Arner, president of the Fiserv insurance solutions group.
At Mynd, formerly called Policy Management Systems Corp., Mr. Gantt began six years ago as a vice president in charge of the companys risk services division. He was also chief quality officer and chief technology officer.
He began his career at Seibels, Bruce & Co., a managing general agency that was the progenitor of Policy Management Systems.
After five years at Seibels, he formed a company that developed technology seminars for the insurance industry and wrote educational textbooks about insurance.
