BOSTON - Fleet Investment Management said it plans to add a Pan-Asia Equity mutual fund to its Galaxy Fund family.

The fund will be subadvised by UOB Global Capital LLC and distributed in the United States by FleetBoston, the parent of Fleet Investment Advisers.
In return, United Overseas Bank will distribute a Pan-American Equity fund in Singapore that will be subadvised by Fleet. The bank is based in Singapore and is the parent company of UOB Global Capital.
Fleet's Galaxy fund will buy liquid equities throughout Asia, including Japan, the company said Wednesday.
