"The Basics of Saving and Investing: Investor Education 2020" is available online and also from participating state securities agencies. Fourteen states' securities regulators have ordered 10,000 copies of the guide for use in their jurisdictions, the trust said.

The guide is the third such teaching aid produced by the trust. It said that it has distributed free teaching guides to 40,000 U.S. educators and also held more than 350 teacher training sessions, covering nearly all 50 states. The guide is divided into four units and includes lesson plans, quizzes, overheads, noncommercial links, and other teaching tools.

Investor Protection Trust was founded in 1993 as part of a multistate settlement to resolve charges of misconduct.
