John Hancock College Savings announced Tuesday that it is beginning a seven-week, back-to-school campaign to increase flows into its 529 college savings program.
Distribution of direct mail and sales ideas for professionals and a college-savings tool kit that advisers can give clients are among the campaign's components.
The kit has tools for the college savings discussion, including a college-cost slide ruler that displays costs for different ages as well as the corresponding savings needed to cover these costs - broken out annually, monthly, or in a lump sum. The kit also has information on the John Hancock Freedom 529 product.
Freedom 529 is a national college savings plan offered by the Education Trust of Alaska and managed by T. Rowe Price. It is distributed by John Hancock Distributors LLC through other broker-dealers that have sales agreements with Hancock Distributors.
