The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. said Tuesday that it plans to hire at least 100 bilingual employees for its Pennsylvania sales and customer service centers in Fort Washington and Fogelsville.
The new employees are to work in the customer services group, a business unit that supplies sales and customer service for the AARP Health Care Options Program. The program offers AARP members Medicare supplemental, long-term-care, dental, and other health-related insurance coverage.
"The AARP Health Care Options Program has been very successful in reaching the Hispanic market, and we expect [the] demand for health-care options to increase as the population ages. With a sizable staff of bilingual representatives, we can ensure that Latino customers have the option of speaking in the language they are most comfortable with," Jay Fleming, the chief operating officer for the customer services group, said in a press release.
The Hartford is a provider of investment products, life insurance and group benefits, automobile and homeowner products, and business property/casualty insurance.
