In Brief: Huntington Appoints Vice Chairman

Huntington Bancshares has named Michael J. McMennamin vice chairman.

Mr. McMennamin, 54, is chief financial officer and treasurer of the Columbus, Ohio, banking company and president of Huntington Capital Corp.

He steps into a post vacated in March when Judith Fisher left to "pursue other interests," a spokeswoman said. Ms. Fisher was responsible for the private financial group and institutional trading, among other areas, the spokeswoman said.

Mr. McMennamin, whose 30-year banking career has included stints at Citizens Financial Group and Bank One Corp., joins Ron Seiffert in the office of vice chairman. Both executives report directly to Huntington chairman and chief executive officer Frank Wobst.
