BOSTON Janus Capital Corp., the main unit of the mutual fund operator Stilwell Financial Inc., said Friday that it will cut 546 shareholder servicing and operations jobs, or 24% of its work force, including 400 at its call center in Austin, Tex., which it will close.
The remaining eliminations will be at Janus Denver headquarters.
The company announced 468 job cuts in February and 45 more last month.
