SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Preparing to ramp up its sales through the bank distribution channel, MassMutual Financial Group has hired John P. Sousa 4th as vice president of financial institutions in its annuity division.
His initial emphasis will be on developing bundled packages of annuity and life insurance products, the creation and management of a wholesaling team, account development, and national sales management. Mr. Sousa will work at MassMutual Annuities' Hartford, Conn. office.
Mr. Sousa comes to MassMutual from Investment Program Management Inc., a consulting firm that works with banks on packaged-product distribution with a focus on wealth transfer.
