Mellon Financial Corp. announced Tuesday that it is expanding its family office services internationally.
The Pittsburgh company will open its first such overseas office in London. Its private wealth management group has family-office locations in Pittsburgh and Boston.
London customers will be offered global custody services, Web-enabled information delivery, and access to Mellon's wealth management and investment capabilities.
Jim McEleney will run the international family office services business in London as a managing director. He has worked for Mellon for 14 years in managerial positions in client service, finance, and administration.
Most recently, Mr. McEleney was chief administrative officer for Mellon's asset servicing sector. He will work closely with Newton's Private Investment Management Division, a Mellon unit in London.
