National City Corp. has named Jeff Getty director of financial planning in the wealth management division of its private-client group, it said Wednesday.

Mr. Getty is to be responsible for improving financial planning for high-net-worth clients of the Cleveland banking company. He will remain president of NatCity Trust Co. of Delaware and is to divide his time among offices in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Delaware.
Since joining the National City private-client group in 1997, Mr. Getty has held various wealth management posts including, most recently, managing the trust company's introduction.
