In Brief: National Advisors Gets New Thrift Charte

WASHINGTON — The Office of Thrift Supervision has approved a federal thrift charter for National Advisors Holdings Inc. of Overland Park, Kan.

National Advisors Trust Co., also in Overland Park, said it plans to sell securities and other products and services but would not accept deposits or make loans.

The holding company expects to raise up to $4 million of funding from 75 financial advisory firms, which are to refer clients to the new thrift, according to the OTS.
