The newly merged Chase Fleming Asset Management has launched its first mutual fund.
Chase Fleming is a unit of Chase Manhattan Corp., which bought the British money manager Robert Fleming this year.
The H&Q Technology Fund, a growth fund, will invest in U.S. technology companies of any size. It was launched Friday.
It will be managed by T. Gary Liberman, who now manages a technology fund based in Luxembourg.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
