In Brief: New Family of Funds at Jones & Babson

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jones & Babson has launched a family of three mutual funds.

The J&B Small-Cap International Fund, which will be subadvised by Denver Investment Advisors LLC, is managed by Michael W. Gerding.

The J&B Small-Cap Aggressive Growth Fund is run by Gail M. Knappenberger, David G. Bayer, and Jill A. Thompson, and will be subadvised by Knappenberger Bayer of Minnetonka, Minn.

The J&B Mid-Cap Aggressive Growth Fund is co-managed by Robert B. Gillam, Frederic H. Parke, and Alexander H. Slivka and will be subadvised by McKinley Capital Management Inc. of Anchorage. The funds’ launching was announced Monday.

Jones & Babson, with $3.5 billion of assets under management, is a subsidiary of the Kansas City-based Business Men’s Assurance Company of America, which is a member of the Generali Group.
