In Brief: Nigeria to Use TSA Switch

The Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System PLC will use software from Transaction Systems Architects Inc. to drive the Nigeria Central Switch, which supplies connectivity and interoperability between the country's electronic funds transfer switches.

The Nigerian organization, which is owned by the country's licensed banks and discount houses, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, also will use ACI Worldwide Base24-es software to integrate the country's retail payment system with the West African Monetary Zone, the New York vendor said last week.

Transaction Systems said the organization also licensed ACI Proactive Risk Manager for fraud monitoring by member banks.
