Northern Trust Global Investments in Chicago said Tuesday that it had hired Timothy Misik as a quantitative equity trader/portfolio manager in New York and Joseph Wolfe as a quantitative active portfolio manager/researcher in Chicago.
Northern Trust's global quantitative management business has $200 billion managed under U.S. and international equity and fixed-income indexing, enhanced index, and quantitative active strategies. It also has tax-advantaged equity products.
Previously, Mr. Misik was a senior equity trader at Barclays Global Investors. He also was a program trader at PaineWebber and an associate portfolio manager/trader at Merrill Lynch Asset Management. Mr. Wolfe came to Northern Trust from the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, where he most recently was a senior quantitative analyst.
