In Brief: PCBanker.com Licenses E-Mail Pay System

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - American Bank, the Internet-only bank that operates as PCBanker.com, has licensed person-to-person payment software from Remit.com of Mountain View, Calif.

The software will enable American Bank's 8,000 banking customers to send and receive payments via e-mail. It can also be deployed on wireless devices.

PCBanker.com customers "will enjoy even greater flexibility," said Mark Jaindl, the bank's president and chief executive officer.

American Bank, one of three publicly traded Internet-only banks, has $112.3 million of assets.
