Pegasystems Inc., a provider of software for automating customer service interactions, has moved into Internet banking.
The company has introduced Pegabank, software that lets bank customers view account balances and activity, transfer funds, order checks, pay bills, and interact with service representatives.
It comes in three applications-Pegabank Basic, Pegabank Plus, and Pegabank Custom.
Pegabank Plus offers real-time transactions and the ability to customize appearance and content. These features are not available in the lower-cost Basic product. Custom, available to institutions that already have a Pegasystems product installed, offers more customization capabilities than Plus.
The product family is the first in a series of "e-solutions" planned by Pegasystems in insurance, health care, telecommunications, and utilities.
