In Brief: Princeton eCom Joins E-Payments Circuit

PURCHASE, N.Y. - Princeton eCom has joined MasterCard International's remote payment and presentment network, making it one of the first biller service providers to do so.

MasterCard will act as a bill payment "hub," enabling customers of the Princeton, N.J., company to pay bills online.

Using MasterCard's payment network will help Princeton eCom to reach more people than it now does through its 250 direct-payment links, said Ronald Averett, the president and chief operating officer of the electronic commerce company.

"MasterCard's remote payment and presentment service has over 1,900 payment links to banks and billers," Mr. Averett said.

In March, Princeton eCom signed an agreement with MasterCard to use its presentment services. The company expects to begin presenting bills in the next few weeks. Princeton eCom also originates payments for its financial institution customers.
