NEWARK, N.J. - Prudential Financial Inc. has announced the promotion of Beth Anne Connelly to vice president and chief operating officer, individual life insurance.
In this role, she is responsible for all individual life insurance operations, systems, new business, underwriting, risk management, and business administration, the company said last Wednesday. Ms. Connelly reports to Jim Avery, the president of individual life products.
Before her promotion Ms. Connelly was the vice president for corporate center operations and systems, with oversight responsibility for operations related to financial management, human resources, and corporate governance, as well as the company's demutualization plans. She joined Prudential in 1998 after a 16-year career at Chase Manhattan Bank.
