BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Regions Financial Corp. has completed its acquisition of Heritage Bancorp of Hutto, Tex.
Heritage stockholders approved the merger at a special meeting on Monday, Regions said.
Heritage is the holding company for Texas Heritage Bank, which operates six offices in Williamson County and the northern portion of Travis County, Tex. The company reported second-quarter assets of $109 million, loans of $75 million, and deposits of $102 million.
"We are pleased to complete our transaction with Heritage Bancorp and to expand our franchise into the Austin, Texas market area, which is one of the fastest growing markets in the country," said Carl E. Jones, Jr., president and chief executive officer of Regions.
Regions Financial is a $43 billion-asset bank holding company.
