In Brief: The Hartford Fills New Senior VP Post

HARTFORD, Conn. - Stephen P. Minihan has been named to the newly created position of senior vice president and director of the office of the chairman at The Hartford Financial Services Group.

The move is part of The Hartford's previously announced plan to split itself in two - one entity for worldwide property-casualty and the other for worldwide life.

Mr. Minihan, who became senior vice president of investor relations last year, joined The Hartford in 1991. When it became a publicly traded company four years later, he was promoted to vice president and set up the investor relations function.

Stuart M. Carlisle assumes the post of vice president and director of investor relations.
