In Brief: Transamerica Starts 3 Institutional Funds

Transamerica Investment Management said it has started three institutional funds for clients with a $250,000 minimum investment.

The Los Angeles company said on Wednesday that it had started the Transamerica Premier Institutional Diversified Equity Fund, Transamerica Premier Institutional Bond Fund, and Transamerica Premier Institutional Small/Mid-Cap Value Fund.

The portfolios are to be managed by members of Transamerica’s investment team already managing similar strategies at the company — Gary Rollé and Dan Prislin as co-managers of the Premier Institutional Diversified Equity Fund, Heidi Hu as lead manager of the Premier Institutional Bond Fund; and Michelle Stevens as lead manager of the Premier Institutional Small/Mid-Cap Value Fund.
