SAN MATEO, Calif. - Trintech Group PLC has signed an agreement with Planet Payment to develop and deploy a secure mobile commerce payment system for banks, online merchants, and technology companies worldwide.
Planet Payment, a multicurrency Internet system provider based in New York, said it will integrate Trintech's PayWare eIssuer and mAccess server technology into its system, which will process multicurrency transactions over mobile devices.
"With this venture we will enable mobile phone users anywhere who wish to shop online securely, confidently, and with the payment vehicle of their choice," said Philip Beck, chief executive officer of Planet Payment.
